Welcome to Atypical Spanish,
These Terms & Conditions explain how we work, what you can expect from our services and the conditions that apply when purchasing our digital travel guides or booking our travel planning services.
By purchasing a product or booking a service with Atypical Spanish, you agree to these terms, subject to your rights under applicable law.
1. About Atypical Spanish
Atypical Spanish is a travel planning business operated by Natalia Martinez Haro, a sole trader based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

We specialise in personalised travel planning, destination recommendations, digital travel guides and curated experiences throughout Spain.
2. Our services
Our services include, but are not limited to:
Digital travel guides.
Travel consultations and itinerary reviews.
Route Design.
Full Travel Planning.
Hotel research and booking assistance.
Experience recommendations and booking coordination.
The specific inclusions, deliverables, prices and level of support are detailed in each service description or individual client proposal.
Services not expressly included in your purchased package are considered additional services and may be subject to separate fees.
3. Travel consultations
Our Travel Consultation is a 60-minute online session designed to provide personalised advice for travellers planning their own trip to Spain.
Consultations may include itinerary reviews, recommendations on destinations, travel times, accommodation areas and general travel logistics.
The consultation does not include ongoing planning assistance, bookings or a complete written itinerary unless otherwise agreed.
Consultations must be paid for at the time of booking.
4. Travel planning services
Our personalised travel planning services are developed around each client's travel dates, interests, preferences, group size and budget.
Once a service has been confirmed and payment has been received, Atypical Spanish may begin the agreed research and planning work.
Clients agree to provide accurate information and respond to reasonable requests for clarification or approval.
Delays in providing information or confirming proposals may affect availability, pricing and planning timelines.
5. Itinerary revisions and additional work
The number of revisions included depends on the service purchased and will be specified in the relevant proposal or service description.
For Full Travel Planning, one round of hotel proposal revisions is included unless otherwise agreed.
Once hotel recommendations have been approved or reservations confirmed, requests for alternative properties, new hotel searches or additional revisions are not included in the original planning fee.
Significant changes to travel dates, destinations, itinerary structure, group size or travel preferences may require additional planning fees.
Any additional costs will be communicated and agreed upon before further work begins.
6. Hotels, experiences and third-party reservations
Atypical Spanish collaborates with independent accommodation providers, local guides, experience providers and travel partners.
We also work with Fora Travel, our host travel agency, to facilitate eligible travel reservations.
Hotels, transport providers, tours and experiences operate under their own booking, payment and cancellation conditions.
Rates, availability, room categories, upgrades and special amenities are subject to confirmation by the relevant provider.
Recommendations and quoted rates cannot be guaranteed until a reservation has been confirmed.
Atypical Spanish will communicate relevant booking information and request client approval before making reservations that require payment or create financial commitments.
7. Payments and booking information
Planning fees cover our research, expertise, itinerary design and coordination.
Unless explicitly stated, accommodation, transport, meals, activities, tickets and other third-party expenses are not included in our planning fees.
For certain reservations, we may request additional traveller information, including legal names, dates of birth or passport details.
When credit card information is required, we use secure payment or card collection systems provided by Fora Travel or the relevant travel provider.
We do not request full payment card information through ordinary email, WhatsApp or travel questionnaires.
8. Digital travel guides
Our digital travel guides are intended for personal travel planning and reference.
They include destination information, local recommendations and practical travel advice based on our knowledge and research.
While we make reasonable efforts to keep our recommendations accurate, opening hours, prices, availability and other travel information may change.
Travellers are encouraged to verify important information directly with the relevant provider before visiting.
Purchasing a guide does not include individual travel planning assistance unless expressly stated.
9. Intellectual property
All original itineraries, travel guides, written recommendations, designs and planning materials created by Atypical Spanish remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed.
These materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use.
They may not be reproduced, redistributed, resold, published or used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Purchasing a product or service does not transfer ownership of our intellectual property.
10. Client responsibilities
Travellers are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, travel authorisations, insurance and other documents required for their journey.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, cancellations, delays and unexpected circumstances.
Clients are responsible for reviewing and understanding the conditions of third-party reservations before approval.
11. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund requests are subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
Third-party bookings may have separate cancellation conditions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes and unforeseen circumstances
Travel arrangements may be affected by weather, strikes, transport disruptions, government restrictions, provider closures or other events outside our reasonable control.
Where necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to assist with changes within the scope of the services purchased.
Additional planning or coordination outside the agreed scope may involve further charges.
13. Third-Party Suppliers and Limitation of Liability
Atypical Spanish provides travel planning, recommendations and booking coordination. Hotels, airlines, transport companies, guides, restaurants, tour operators and experience providers are independent third-party suppliers and are not employees, agents or representatives of Atypical Spanish.
Third-party services are provided under each supplier’s own terms, operating procedures and cancellation policies. Atypical Spanish does not control the operation, safety standards or performance of these independent suppliers.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Atypical Spanish is not responsible for any injury, illness, accident, loss, damage, delay, cancellation, service disruption, failure, act or omission arising from services delivered by an independent third-party supplier. Any concern or claim relating to a third-party service should be raised with the relevant supplier in the first instance.
This clause does not exclude or limit any responsibility arising from Atypical Spanish’s own actions, negligence or failure to provide the agreed planning service, nor any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
14. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to the customer.
